Emily Irene VanCamp is a Canadian actress known for her lead roles in numerous television series and for her enthralling performances in movies. The actress is well-known on Canadian and American TV. Emily began acting at the age of 12 after she had a visit with her elder sister Katie in one of Katie's movies. She began taking classes in acting and auditions following realizing she loved acting. She started out with a few ads and soon was cast in Are You Afraid Of The Dark A Canadian horror film for children. It was the only scene in which she did not speak. At the age of fifteen, Emily made her big breakthrough after she was made a regular of the WB Television program Glory Days. Emily's performance caught the eye to Dawson's Creek's Greg Berlanti, who then cast her on his television show Everwood. A ballet dancer as well as photographer, Emily was once listed by Teen as one of the top actresses under the age of 20. The Maxim's Hot 100 for 2014 listed Emily as the top 51.
