Ree Drummond Ree Drummond, an American food blogger and writer who is also a TV host, has worked as writing for TV since 2005. Most famous is the blog she runs called The Pioneer Woman. She has a ranch near the Oklahoma border. Her blogs are about the daily lives of an ranch mother and wife. The Pioneer Woman was awarded the Weblog of the Year award in 2009, 2010, and 2011, the Pioneer Woman was awarded the Weblog of the Year award during the Annual Weblog Awards. Growing up in Bartlesville Oklahoma she studied journalism and gerontology while at college. In 2006 she started her online blog pioneerwoman.typepad.com and later changed the name to Confessions of a Pioneer Woman and finally to The Pioneer Woman. Confessions of a Pioneer Woman is among her most visited sections. The blog was well-respected by major magazines, which praised her style of writing and ideas as well as some excellent photos. She posts food photos in her blogs. Her TV show was launched The Pioneer Woman in 2011 and it is still on The Food Network. In addition to writing books, she is an accomplished cook. Columbia Pictures announced recently that the film adaptation of her book"From Black Heels To Tractor Wheels is scheduled to be released.
