Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born 12 November 1961 at Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej [now Onestiin Gheorghe Gheorghiu dej, now Onesti Romania). She was first gymnast to score a perfect 10 during an Olympic occasion. Bela Karalyi came across Comaneci at the age of six. She would later become Romania's gymnastics coach. At first, she competed in the championships for juniors from Romania in 1969, she was 13th. In 1970, she the Romanian gymnast won. In 1972, in a meet of communist countries junior athletes before the Olympics she won three medals of gold. In 1973 and '74 she was the junior champion in all aspects. In 1975 she was awarded four golds and one silver in her first senior competition. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European champion. The year was 1976 when she was the winner of the American Cup at the New York City Olympics. She also became the first woman ever to remove the bars in parallel with the double backward salto. The story of Carol Wayne in the world of entertainment began as a teenager. With her sister Nina Wayne, she joined the traveling entertainment show known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was born on September 6 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol's professional career started in the entertainment industry in her teens. She started her career performing figure skating with Nina Wayne, her younger sister in one of the touring entertainment programs Ice Capades. These shows were ice skating events that included theatrical performances.
