Laura Linney was one of the best American actors to emerge from the past. Her savacious and vulnerable roles have made her a household name. After spending the summers with her father's business Laura Linney was captivated with the theatre. After that she attended Brown University she studied acting as well as at Juilliard School, after which, her career took off. In just two short years after graduation she began her Broadway-based career. Following that, she made her debut on the world of film and television. Her appearances have been on a variety of shows on stage, television and film programs since. Her nominations include three Academy Awards, five Tony Awards, and four Primetime Emmy Awards (including two Golden Globe Awards), as well as received numerous awards over her career. In spite of all these awards, her passion for the theatre isn't gone, and she performs as a stage performer and screen.
